Darling 1626 Amplfier Detail
Here we have a design from none other than Bob Danielak (AKA Papa Darling). Bob's been working with the 1626 tube for sometime. What's really special about this schematic is that it's one of his most recent refinements on an otherwise tried and true design. Since Bob know's this tube so well by now, he keeps making his designs better and better! He has the parts count down to a precious minimum (not an easy thing to do). You want to talk about sound? This amp is a killer! It's a parallel single ended design with dc heated filaments. Power is 1 1/2 watts per channel. I designed the power supply on this amp using a GZ-34 tube rectifier. The B+ is 385 volts. Totally awesome! Thanks for all the input Bob!
